At Focus School Wilton Campus, safeguarding children is central to the school ethos which states that ” The truth and authority of the Holy Bible and strong family values underpin the commitment of the School to provide quality in every facet of education – curriculum, teachers, facilities, management and discipline – in a safe and caring environment.”

Safeguarding children is twofold: the protection of specific children who are at risk of deliberate harm, commonly known as Child Protection; and the general safety of children at the school. This includes anti-bullying, e-safety and pupils’ general security at school, on school transport and on educational visits.

The Senior Management Team and the Designated Person for Safeguarding, Mrs Fox, take a very proactive approach towards Safeguarding.

The Designated Person conducts the annual audit reporting back to Wiltshire Council and liaises directly with the Wiltshire multi-agency LSCB.

Any Safeguarding concerns or issues should be raised immediately with the Designated Person whose name and contact details are clearly displayed around school and in the policy document.
