Guided by our Christian Ethos, we seek to instill a strong sense of responsibility within our students, towards those in society who are less advantaged. Our weekly school assemblies give the opportunity for visits from representatives from a wide variety of charities and community support groups. This helps to raise awareness about others in need, and students in all year groups enthusiastically organize fund raising activities to support many different charities throughout the year.
We are ever grateful for the generous support of parents, grandparents and local businesses who can always be counted upon to encourage the students in their fund raising efforts. Our thanks go to Parents and Friends who arrange regular cake sales that follow achievement assemblies, with substantial donations being given to the nominated charity. Other activities such as Sponsored walks and individual enterprises raise impressive sums to be donated to these very good causes.
Many expressions of thanks and letters of appreciation have been received as a result of these charitable events.
