Congratulations to Year 13 on the completion of their A Level Courses. This year students have completed more courses than ever before, on average each student completing 3.6 subjects. They have also had the additional challenge of being more self-directed in their studies, a stern challenge but they have learnt a great deal from it.
I am delighted to announce that 93.7% of all courses taken achieved pass grades E-A*, 63.4% of those have been at Grade C or above with 40% at Grade B or above.
There were some notable successes, Rhys Barter and Yorke Browning achieved A*s for their extended project. Yorke also achieved a Distinction* for his Technical Business alongside Ketsia Gardiner who also achieved a D*.
Rhys Barter was our top performing student with an average points score of 49 made up from Economics A, Accounts B, Maths B and EPQ A*. Three other students achieved average points scores in the 40s: Yorke Browining, 44.6 Ketsia Gardiner, 41.1, and Roxanne East 40.
Life is a set of experiences which we learn from. Every student has had their own personal successes and rewards for their perseverance. We have watched you struggle and overcome, we have seen you learn from mistakes and we have seen you grow into very fine young adults who will do your community proud in the future. Examination results do not define you they are a moment in time. What defines you? You decide, define your own success.
We wish you well as you step out into the world and look forward to seeing you again in November.
