Head chef Harvey Spencer-Smith visited year 12 chef skills and year 10 GCSE food preparation and nutrition this week. Students were split into groups of three and the task for 2 groups was to choose ingredients to make and accompany a piece of salmon or a pork steak. The other group were tasked with making cheesecake and brandy snaps. The dishes had to be presented attractively and then they were scored for colour, portion size, creativity and tidiness of presentation.
