The students and staff were treated to a visit from a local MP on Thursday 17 September. Mrs Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey and Southampton, was guest speaker for our weekly whole school assembly before enjoying a tour of our wonderful school environment. Mrs Nokes spent time talking about her varied roles and responsibilities during her address, which included her parliamentary role in representing her constituents’ views at Westminster. One of Mrs Nokes’ parliamentary roles is as a member of the Education Select Committee and she was therefore very interested in talking to me and members of the community about the educational standards, structures and developments at the Wilton Campus.
