Yesterday, we celebrated World Book Day, after the snow prevented us from holding it last week. The array of book characters that the students dressed up as was phenomenal and clearly a lot of work had gone into the costumes – thank you to all who helped make them or source them for the students.

On the day, Years 3 – 6 split into groups and spent the morning writing, illustrating and publishing their own 500 word story books. Some groups chose to hand-write and draw their books, whilst others chose to practise their typing skills and used technology to produce theirs.

After lunch, the students had the opportunity to share their stories with their parents, teachers as well as with each other. The creativity of the stories was amazing and it was fantastic to hear the students confidently reading their work aloud to their audiences.

Thank you to everyone, students, teachers and parents, for helping to make our World Book Day 2018 a huge success.
