Last Friday, students in year 13 completed their final chef skills assessment.
The brief: to plan and cook a 3 course celebratory , seasonal meal for 4 people. The menu had to include some butchery skills, a pastry of choice and some piping somewhere throughout the meal.
Students had one session of 3 hours cooking time plus 1/2 hour mis en place.
The quality of the dishes produced, as well as the presentation, was of a high standard – we await the results with interest.
