Year 5 travelled to London to visit the Museum of Childhood, which is part of the V&A Museum.

The exhibits inside map the history of toys and clothes over several centuries and it was fascinating to see how things have changed and developed, particularly with the advent of technology. Students attended a workshop about mechanical toys and had the opportunity to try out a variety of them and investigate how and why they work.

On the way back, the driver kindly followed a route which took students past the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament and several other famous London landmarks – an experience enjoyed by all on board.

Many thanks to all of the parents and Miss Dickinson who came with us and helped to make the day run smoothly.
