Year 8 continued to develop their understanding of Tudor times with a visit to the Mary Rose in Portsmouth yesterday. Their source analysis skills were put to the test as they needed to compare three very different sources; one French, one Spanish and one English and draw their own conclusions as to why the Mary Rose sank.

They became active investigators and explored why the Mary Rose may have been an unstable vessel through a science investigation.

All the Year 8 students were suitably impressed by the scale, beauty and fine restoration of the ship itself.
