The second event this term in the Focus School regional cross country series was held on Friday 17th November 2017. This time, it was the turn of years 11-13 and Wilton students arrived at Hindhead Campus on a sunny but chilly morning, ideal for cross country. The 5.5km route was introduced to all students before they made their way to the start line for a warm up and pre race brief. Each group consisted of 15+ students from 5 different campuses running for themselves and their house. Year 11s were the first to start, with year 12s and 13s close behind. Wilton students once again took centre stage with some outstanding results, including 1st place medals for Alfie Browning, Storm Barter, Zac Aris and George Aris, who smashed the course record!

Well done to all those who took part in the event – it was great to see that the training over the past few months had really paid off, especially the lunchtime club sessions run by Mr James, Miss Lassetter and Mrs Powell. Thank you also to drivers Sarah Aris, Linda Aris and Mrs Powell.
